All A-Board!

With baby number 1 on the way and a move to a new country we decided we would create a blog so everyone can keep track of all the new and exciting things going on in our lives.

Here is a little background of what has been happening so far.
In June, Josh and I decided that we were ready to add on to our family.  Josh was almost done with school and I have been ready since the day we got married.  Little did we know it would happen so quickly.  The very next month I took test after test, all coming back with a "sort of" blue line saying you could be pregnant.  Each test looked like maybe you are pregnant, maybe you're not.  Finally after about 4 tests, I got smart and I bought one that says either YES or NO.

Josh was outside mowing the lawn and I just couldn't wait to pee on another stick.  It immediately said YES.  I ran outside and told him, we both just couldn't believe it.  I started doing the math and thought uh-oh, the baby is going to be born in March, Josh is not done with school until the end of April.  Maybe we should have waited one more month... We we're so excited it didn't matter.  Josh would wait to finish classes if he had to.

We bought debated for a long time about how and when to tell our families.  I have a big mouth and wanted to tell right away.  Josh, the more rational one, thought we should wait until we had our first doctors appointment.  He won of course!

I looked all over for fun ways to tell your family. Here is what I came up with  I bought a shirt that says "Baby On Board" and found a little poem that we created into a wine label.

Bare Foot’s Baby Fausch

I do not have a face to see,
Or put inside a frame.
I do not have soft cheeks to kiss,
I don't yet have a name.
You can't yet hold my tiny hands,
Nor whisper in my ear.
It's still too soon to sing a song,
Or cuddle me so near.
But all will change come April,
That’s when they say I'm due.
I'm your new grandson or granddaughter;
I can't wait till I meet you.
All I ask between now and then
Is your patience while I grow.
I promise I'll be worth the wait,
Because of all the love we'll know.
So what I have to give you now,
Is a wish to you from me.
I cannot wait to be a part
Of this wonderful family.
